Born and raised in Kaimuki, David learned early on the value of education, hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. He is a proud graduate of Kalani High School and received his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with emphasis in Mathematics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  David followed both his father's footsteps in becoming a professional Entertainer as well as his mother's footsteps in becoming a high school math teacher. All while being a professional entertainer, he taught for total of 12 years between Kalani High School and Kaimuki High School. He then ultimately left the Department of Education to open 3 preschools with a former business partner.


In 2007, David created 'Akahi Productions, a company to help book local entertainers and manage entertainment at venues around the island - helping local talent while perpetuating the Hawaiian Culture.


Today, David wants to serve as your voice on State issues. A voice that echoes your concerns. A voice that matters. A voice that cares.
